Affordable Motor Home Rentals are awesome! Firstly when I went to enquire about booking a motor home (during Summer school holiday time) many bigger companies were not prepared to let me take a 7 day hire. However, this was not a problem for Affordable Motor homes who were happy to take my week long booking for three of us (including a 6 year old). I found prior communication was good from Lynda and when I requested an optional extra in the form of table and chairs at a later date, this was added for no extra cost which was appreciated. Picking up the van was easy and Lynda went through all the features the van has. While the Motor Home may not be the newest model it had everything you needed to make you comfortable and was easy to drive with more grunt to get up hills than I imagined (this was the first time I’ve every driven one). Dropping off the van was also easy and Lynda gave us a ride back to the airport for our flight home. So overall a fair price, a reliable/comfortable/clean vehicle, great communication and awesome customer service. I would definitely use Affordable Motor home rentals again and highly recommend them!

Affordable Motor Home Rentals is easily one of the best places in NZ to hire a camper! The Alphard model is exceptionally functional, so well designed and superbly equipped for days or weeks of adventure. The lounge area is great to relax in during the day and is easily converted into night mode. The rear kitchen is so well organised, with everything you need at your fingertips. To top it all, Lynda looks after you every step of the way and is so friendly, helpful and kind - she also makes sure you understand how everything works for a smooth and highly enjoyable adventure! Very highly recommended - book now!

Bought an Estima camper van from Affordable Motorhomes this summer. It’s fabulous... so carefully thought out and beautifully crafted. It came ready to roll with a self containment cert, solar, house battery, awning and more! Lynda and the team are awesome to deal with ... no question unanswered and they are obviously rightly proud of their craft. Highly recommended

We had an amazing experience with Affordable Motor Homes. The compact but spacious sleepervan (Toyota Alphard) gave us no trouble and was so well kitted out. It was the tidiest sleepervan we saw, and we saw a lot. The bed/dining area was comfortable to sleep in and sit upright in, which was vital in chillier autumn weather. We used the kitchen for almost every meal over our 3 week adventure which took us from their pick-up in Auckland to dropping off in Christchurch. They thought of everything: a little rechargeable lantern in the car, just the right utensils and kitchenware, a cooler box they fitted with an adjustable dial for maximum efficiency when the motor was running or not, solar panels on the roof. The team (family owned business) were great, full of useful info at a phone call. Their depot had a book exchange and a place to pick up (and leave behind) food and other useful things from other campers like tinfoil, cooking oil etc. We forgot something in the van at the end and they dropped it to our accommodation the next day, no problem.

We first came across Affordable Motorhomes when we hired a Consort motorhome for a road trip from Auckland to Christchurch in 2012. We had a great trip and the team was excellent to deal with - friendly, down to earth and helpful with our booking. When we decided that we wanted to buy a camper and saw that they had some for sale, we had no hesitation in contacting them with a sales enquiry as we'd had such a good experience previously. Because they build their own campervans, they know them inside out and what they're talking about which gave us very good reassurance in what we were buying and the team we were working with. We are thrilled with the campervan we ended up purchasing and while the product is great, the interaction with everyone at Affordable was the icing on the cake. An older sleeper van but ran very comfortably and very well set out. A lovely family company who are soo nice to deal, and little details are thought of. Lynda even came to collect us from around the corner after our next rental fell through and they were able to find a spare vehicle for us..and lent us some bug spray! Comfy to sleep in, cooking facilities were often preferable to a shared kitchen facility!! A clear, detailed and concise explanation pre set-off. Plus your card is only debited IF you actually have an incident. I can recommend them without hesitation and Affordable will be my first stop next time I visit NZ!
