Had a booking at Pescatore for 7pm but started our night off at 50 Bistro (ground floor - The George). Ordered fries, dessert and drinks. Apparently they weren't willing to let us have our fries in Pescatore - unsure why this would be an issue as both restaurants are in the hotel. It was something so petty but would have made our night more comfortable and convenient. You would think for a 5-star hotel they would be more lenient?! The restaurant was fully empty the whole time we were there - it's not like staff were busy or the place was pumping. Food at Pescatore was fantastic though. The waiter we had was great - friendly and approachable.

A very refined and polished performance from a very professional restaurant. The young manager and North American gentleman whom served us were exceptional. It was our first time at Pescatore and it was an unforgettable encounter. Our snapper was sensational and the morsels of appetizers and other nibbles we were given were just absolutely divine. Well done. I loved our table site too! Such a beautiful vista of our gorgeous Hagley Park and the beautiful people bustling by. Many thanks!

The 10 course degustation was a brilliant start to my weekend in Christchurch with family and friends. This is an experience, like opera under the stars. Where every dish compliments the previous dish but also exceeds the dish in the same note. The service was impeccable and like all great restaurants, very accommodating to all our needs. Thank you to all the staff at Pescatore for such a wonderful evening, we will definitely dining here again in the near future. Beaudine

The most delicious, outstanding Fine Dining experience. The staff were attentive and were expert in telling us about every dish that was brought to our table. Extensive wine choice but most of all..the little dishes of palate cleansers were very delicious too. Definitely will return.
