We had a good experience and John is friendly, knowledgeable and keen to help with making the most of the trip. He picked us up and dropped us from the airport. A good option for those who want a smaller campervan that is still self contained and a bit cheaper than the other, larger rental companies

Cruzen Campers was a life saver! When our personal van broke down they not only helped us with a rental from their fleet, they also assisted in dealing with our broken down van. This allowed us to continue with our adventure and see some family. As first time long term travellers this help was invaluable. The van was easy to set up and easy to drive! We were super impressed with how comfortable the cushions were and always got a full night of sleep! We are so thankful for Cruzen Campers they truly went above and beyond!

100% recommend hiring a campervan with Cruzen Campers. Kiwi ingenuity and craftsmanship at its best. John has done an incredible job with the campervans and has thought of everything you could possibly need for an amazing camping trip. The self-contained campervans come fully equipped with everything you will need...even unlimited wifi. We hired the campervan for 6 days and no issues. It was fuel efficient and ran smoothly, even on the gravel roads to the more remote campgrounds. John made the process from booking, pick up and drop off an ease and was very helpful. We will definitely hire a Cruzen Camper again for our next adventure.

John & his campers are AWESOME! All the benefits of self contained camping, but the benefit of being as easy to drive as your normal car. They are self contained with so many features thought of. Well worth a holiday spin around New Zealand in one if these!

Awesome experience with Cruzen Campers! I had the camper for a lengthy solo tour of New Zealand from mid-July to mid-November, my camper sidekick buddy took me just about everywhere in New Zealand, I even got to visit Stewart Island! I would call this campervan extremely space-efficient, with an innovative well thought out design. I loved the size of the camper as I was able to drive it with ease and park anywhere a regular car could, which makes a world of difference when you are travelling around New Zealand. The camper had a comfy bed for sleeping that could convert into a few variations of couch options for daytime use. This camper even had a heater (made my winter travel super cozy), with power independent of the van engine and other power supply (no plugging in), the entire camper was solar-powered, so I never did "plug in" (which will save you at campsites) Able to charge phone, tablet, laptop as well as being equipped with data so it was compatible with my Android Auto App. I enjoyed the outdoor cooking as well, with an outdoor awning that spanned around most of the van that I could set up easily as a solo traveler in about 10 minutes. Outdoor table, chairs and kitchen items were included as well! I loved the fact that it was a certified "self-contained" camper - sink, stove, even a full-sized toilet that tucked away when not in use. Being "self-contained" gave me all available New Zealand camping options - I opted for plenty of freedom camping as well as some stays in campgrounds and holiday parks. I loved being able to stop at leisure for coffee, snacks, lunch without seeking out a cafe every time- great scenery is an added bonus of this feature! Outstanding hospitality and customer service throughout my trip, John the owner even personally picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. I had an amazing time visiting New Zealand and I quickly realized, campervan is the way to go! I would rent from this company again should I return to New Zealand.

Our Cruzen Camper gave us three wonderful days in the far north. We visited Dargaville & Tane Mahuta then Opononi Rawene and Kaitaia. The 90 mile beach tour recommended by Cruzen Campers was awesome. Eight hours of fun highlighted by our great driver full of local knowledge and insight. Cruzen gave us a wonderful time for the best price and the service was as good as it gets. John stayed in touch and assisted us with EVERYTHING when our limited “camping” abilities required guidance. Highly recommend Cruzen Campers to everybody. Larry & Gloria Morris Auckland

We had a wonderful experience with Gabrielle and John from booking to picking up the vehicle and even support on the road. The booking was for 6 days and we took it around the north island. The campers designed by John are incredibly well thought out - a WiFi dongle, 2 gas stoves, a solar panel so you don’t have to rely on the car batteries for interior lights, charging etc. Toilet in the van even comes with a flush and a working tap that doesn’t require pumping. We also slept really well at night. The built in bed pulls out to be really spacious and comfy. Our only gripe was the van going uphill (you’ll need to floor the gas) but we managed to visit all our locations with no issues. All in all, comfortable and stress free experience with the van. It’s also wonderful to see this business started by father and daughter duo. Feels good to support a family business that puts thought and care into their customers and product. Highly recommend for your campervan experience around the north island.

We had a great time with the campervan. Booked it last minute and enjoyed our trip. Just rhe right size for cruisin new zealand roads and self contained is a bonus. The really nice thing was the ride to the airport upon drop off. Nice!
