I have been buying milk from the Natural Dairy on a weekly basis for the past 9 months and all I can say is once you try it there's no going back. I pay on line so it's easy as.

Self service milk sales available here at Natural Dairy south of Oamaru, right off SH1. First time you have to buy the milk (3.80 in December 2019) and the glass bottle (2). Then on subsequent visits you drop off your empty bottle and pay just for the milk inside your next bottle (i.e. 3.80) - for a 1 litre of milk. Old school as it was years ago. But simple. The dairy is cash only. Change tray for converting your money to the right change is there. AND Yes its more expensive than the mass produced stuff from the big nameless and named brand outfits like Fonterra (Anchor brand). But not so much more when you consider that the folks who run the dairy, really do "walk the talk", they treat the cows and calves right. They let the calves stay with their mums and this means they have less milk to sell so it's a little more expensive. But everyone including the cows are happy. Happy cows means a better quality milk. So if want to make sure you know where your milk comes from and that it's doing good. This is about the best way to do so.
