What a great place for a bunch of beers to taste. German style beer house and garden. Get one of the house special dishes like the Chicken Schnitzel. Incredible value at a mere 16 each! Do make an effort to get there and try!

Decent pub food with healthy helpings. Your spoilt for choice on the beer selection. The courtyard is a great place to visit on a warm day. It is "kid friendly" so it's not so unusual to see a few families with kids playing on the life sized chess pieces out back. The ladies who work here are consistently lovely and helpful. It's usually busy but there's plenty of room so you'll find a place to seat even on a high volume day.
If you want to eat inside on a weekend especially a holiday weekend be sure to book early. Meals are hearty and not expensive, you definitely get your money's worth and what a fantastic selection of beers and lagers. Only problem we had was not making sure our order for food was understood and having to wait for 2 meals to turn up.
Called in for a meal and a pint, great selection of beer and authentic European decor, good service. My partner had the chicken schnitzel meal which was lovely @16 (big portion) however this is where the positive review ends. The bratwurst meal was absolutely forgettable, two small bland nz style sausages on a mountain of mashed potato, no spice/seasoning detected and @24 was a slap in the face. Honestly have had better bratwurst from the Z petrol station, avoid this meal and avoid disappointment.
Fantastic. Incredibly huge feed for the price. And very very tasty.
Food was amazing. Table service for drinks would have been nicer than going to the bar every time.

Gorgeous spot! My only complaint is that I asked for my steak medium rare and it came out well done (which for a steak lover isn’t ideal). The pretzel entree was delish!
