I brought a group from overseas and local to a tour of the South Island- including Glenfalloch. And this has been the easy favourite and most unforgettable for all of us. From the food which was to die for (serving size, quality, presentation), we felt like royalties being treated to large portions of food, meat and even our picnic lunch for our hot air ballooning was flash. One thing that makes it very unforgettable were the people, Dietlind and her family were a joy to behold. The children were lovely and played with my son. The teenagers and those who love adventures took our 4x 4's to a ride and it was a great experience for them- massive adrenaline rush for the boys! I really would love to come back and we intend to next year. In fact, my son chose this to be his must-visit place with his soon-to-be-bride. Thank you for wonderful experience, friendship and the the memories.

Stunning place! There is nothing like getting away from the hustle of the city and this place is great. The scenery is stunning, the trekking is awesome, and 4-wheel driving is endless! Every turn provides you with the most amazing views. No cell coverage (which is great when you don't want to be bothered by those city folk). We even had a guard bull in our back yard. Called him Brutus while we were there and such a relaxed dude too. If you get the chance to go to this place I think it should be mandatory!
An authentic NZ experience and great hospitality. We stayed here to Heliski with Methven Heliski. Rustic accommodation with a roaring fire and an amazing 3 course meal. Amazing mountain views and a welcoming friendly host. We'll be back. Thanks
Heliskiing starting point. Amazing
"give me land, lots of land under starry skies above Don't fence me in" We loved cycling thru from Lake Heron, unfortunately the accomodation was fully booked so we couldn't stay the night. The Todhunters very kindly allowed us to recharge our bike batteries and we took the opportunity to walk down the creek adjacent to the homestead.
