I had a neck dissection and total thyroidectomy in Feb this year. Dr Chaplin is a great expert. He has so much experiences and knowledge. I am recovering very well and the scar even not noticeable. I have been misdiagnosis by other specialist, I am so glad I changed Dr Chaplin as my surgeon. Dr Chaplin, you are the best!

I have found a lump on the right posterior side of my neck a couple of months ago and was referred to Dr. John Chaplin by my GP. The FNA and MRI results were contradicting as one of the results have shown some possible cancer cells present. Me and my wife were so depressed about it cause if it is malignant, then my life would be somewhat close to end. But, this Doctor is awesome! He discussed his beliefs and knowledge about my case and we agreed to have it taken out for excisional biopsy to confirm if it is benign or malignant. I undergone a right intramuscular neck resection/neck dissection procedure under him. He explained to me what he will do during the procedure and assured me that he will keep an eye as to which part of muscles to go through and avoid the nerves that could possibly affect my normal function and get me back to work in no time. My surgery went totally fine. He was able to take out an inch bigger size of tumor out of my neck.I was discharged after a day from the hospital and was able to come back to work after 4 days. I have like a 4 inch slit on my neck but the stiches are even hardly noticeable as if nothing happened. Dr. John Chaplin is really an expert. Very professional and so kind to answer questions/concerns even through text. I also would want to say Thank You to those people who work with him specially during my operation and took good care of me after. God Bless you and More Power. (Yesterday, I went back to see him and he told me that the tumor is benign. )
