Tried the place after a really really long time. Ordered stir fried squid with garlic sauce. Extremely underwhelming. Portion size was surprisingly small, tiny nibbles of squid and just too much sauce. To a point it was inedible. The staff are just as friendly as I remember. But the food left a lot to be desired. Too disappointed

Really friendly and quick place to have lunch. Had the Supreme Satay and Steamed Dumplings, were both great.

Like the name suggests, the Friendly should be your go-to when you're looking for a satay fix. You have the option of dining in or takeaway. There are around 12 tables inside a relatively small restaurant but the atmosphere is palpable. You have a wide range of dishes to choose from on the menu. My personal favourite is the classic combination chicken satay. IFYKYK.

My everyday go to restaurant. They have the best soups options good for cold weather and fried noodle dishes which is good for hot weather. Honestly can eat their food everyday because I love it so much

Was the best BBQ Beef Noodles I've ever had, my friend had the Laksa Noodles and were also so damn tasty and filling. Would highly recommend this as a jewel of Dunedin cuisine, cheap prices and full plates (that won't last long if your anything like me ) could of easily downed another few, great food team ️
