For a start, the pastry is too thin, so all the filling just falls through the bottom. Pastry on top is too hard. Gravy is too thick, with a starchy texture, like there is too much thickener in it, this made it like I was eating glue, and made it too rich. Flavour is average. Steak was cooked well, but that is where the good ends. Way overpriced in the end. They say best pies in Dunedin, they're not even the best pies in South Dunedin.

I’m sorry but the spinach, feta red pepper vegan pastry pie taste like old defrosted spinach and glue. We couldn’t eat it, dinner ruined! Bought the vegan pastry by accident but still - the packet says “any pie lover will love these!” so that’s clearly not true. Gross pie, don’t buy!

Soft pastry that melts in the mouth, smooth gravy with no jelly. Chunky meat and real cheese. 5 Stars for the steak and Cheese.

Their website advises to contact them, if you would like to communicate with Who Ate All The Pies. However when we did this to provide feedback about one of their products, we didn’t receive any response. Looking at the reviews posted on this google platform, it is clear to see they simply don’t appreciate or value customer feedback of ANY kind. They don’t reply to reviews from any customers. Given this, I’d say it will only be a matter of time before they loose further business from customers. Either that or the supermarket chains they range their products through, will remove them from the shelves. This is disappointing, but just another example of a business which values profit over feedback. Who Ate All The Pies, have lost our business, so we’ll be supporting other pie makers who show respect.

Just stopped here in our camper van to grab a bite to eat, and although the store doesn’t quite have a public storefront with ready to eat pies, the owner happily offered us a couple of microwave heated pies at a discount rate and threw in a couple of extras we just “had to try” for free. He told us lots about the way their pies were made and the difference between them and commercial pies and it was very enlightening! He even offered suggestions of other great pie makers along the rest of our journey through NZ - a thoroughly humble and generous man. Love this place!

Best pies I've ever had. A variety of flavours are available and service is efficient and friendly. Parking is a bit difficult to find in this one way and narrow street, but worth the effort. The special of three family pies for 40 is definitely worth thinking about too.
