An institution when it comes to teaching people how to sew. They use to have a shop in town but closed it and now relocated to St. Kilda. I learned how to quilt and do a lot of craft work from the wonderful ladies and Jan. If you want serious instruction they are the people to go to.

I had hunted the world for months for a particular accessory for my old Elna. It wasn't being made any more and there were none in stock wherever I tried. I finally contacted Jan's Patch - they also didn't have one in stock, but Shirley undertook to try to source one for me and within a few days it was couriered to me in Christchurch.
