While the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the general environment clean, this cinema is a good example of why going out to the movies is probably on its way out. The seats were old and uncomfortable, and the steep configuration of the seating at this particular location has never felt quite right for a cinema. It was not worth the cost - even for the supposedly promotional Cinebuzz Movie of the Week!

The movies in in West City is, nice, clean, and has lots of things to do whilst waiting for your movie. EG. Free WIFI, arcade machines etc...

Cheap movie tickets , enviroment is good, chairs are comfortable. Not too many people seem to be going to the movies so often pretty empty in the theater.

What a horrible experience with westcity event . Running Movie in theater and in between some issues with screen and screen off and we are waiting and waiting for Movie and finally after half an hour someone came and he said that we can not start Movie because of some technical issues. In even in refund someone got 3 times complementary tickets bcoz they debate and we got nothing. However we just west our time and money . I have 18 month old baby and my friend came from wellington she also have 1 year old baby after we plan and settled everything about our baby we had chance for Movie tonight after 2 years with our friend group. But we just west our time and money. Bad costumer service as well other girls got 3 time tickets and we ask for refund tickets but she said sorry but I can not do everything. So my thing is she can give 3 time ticket to other 3 girls without any permission so why we can not we also coming from wellington.

Haven't been in awhile but a couple years ago it only cost 8 for movie tickets now prices are the same as other Event cinemas .The location is good tho it's in the West city Mall and close to the food court.
