Friendly staff and beautiful villas. Each villa has a carport and a small backyard. Fully functional kitchen equipped in the villa. The bedrooms are large however there is only one full bathroom on the ground floor. We visited during winter so the house was nice and warm once we started the heater. The backyard also provides a nice view of the Alps. On a dark night the backyard provides an excellent location for stargazing and view of the Milky way. These villas are located just 5 mins away from the main street in Franz Josef. We would certainly visit again.

Excellent motel accommodation with fabulous views. All you need for your stay. Well equipped kitchen and cooking facilities. Our room had great views over the mountains. Lovely staff.

A homely and quiet respite located minutes from downtown Franz Josef. The rooms (we stayed in 2 bedroom) were organized out with a loft bedroom upstairs, bedroom downstairs, and kitchen living area downstairs (along with a single bath). The beds left a little to be desired but in all it was a perfectly fine establishment in which to recover for a glacier hike after 400km driving on the west coast! 5 star accommodations to me represent a separate class of lodging but the Glenfern Villas were great for the price and location. I would stay here again!
