We chartered a H500 helicopter to fly out to Franz Josef Glacier with a small scenic flight around Aoraki and Tasman Glacier, plus a snow landing. The Heli Services team were friendly and fantastic to deal with. Our pilot, Dion, was exceptional and showed us various features of the landscapes throughout the scenic flight as well as ensuring we were safe around the helicopter. The flight itself was totally breath-taking. It's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience but also one that we will be doing a second time!! The vastness and magnificence of the glacier is impossible to comprehend until you are up there yourselves. We have flown to hundreds of mountain locations in helicopters for work and this was like nothing we had experienced. It is a must-do if you are visiting Franz Josef! Thank you again to the Heli Services team, we will be back again in winter and look forward to taking our family on a similar flight with you :)

Highly recommend! We walked the Fox track and got a glimpse and intended to do the same for Franz Josef before making a last minute decision to take the flight. No regrets- absolutely amazing! Best experience of my life! Our pilot Rachel was awesome

Great service, efficient and professional, very informative helicopter pilot and very safety conscious was a pleasure to deal with. We would recommend this company due to the issues we had with the company across road mucking us around so much. I also forgot to say that the experience my wife and I had on this helicopter ride was amazing to say the least and absolutely a must for all if they come to Franz Josef, we flew over both glaciers and got to land on Fox, it was breathtaking and an incredible experience that we will never forget, has been the highlight of our year and of this trip so put this on your bucket list.

Absolutely breathtaking. Due to Mother Nature we almost missed out on the opportunity to take this flight however at the last minute on the last day we were in Franz Josef HeliServices.NZ made our dream possible. Their customer service is impeccable. The pilots knowledge is amazing. And the experience of flying over both glaciers was mind blowing. To top it off, to land on Fox Glacier was honestly once in a lifetime experience. Can't recommend these guys enough!

After an aborted trip in October due to nasty weather we drove over from Christchurch on Sunday (only 5 hours) and took advantage of the perfect weather to do the Grand Tour. Well worth every cent! Incredible experience and Highly recommended! There were no hassles applying our credit from the previous trip and everyone was friendly and professional. Get over there and support them if you can!

Had an amazing experience! Can’t rate these guys highly enough! So I was staying over in Fox Glacier just for a night before continuing up the west coast, I past their shop and thought even though I was pressed for time I should enquire. Within 10 minutes of walking into the shop I was booked in and on the way to the helicopter. If you’re passing through this is a MUST DO!! The view is Insane and to be able to walk on a glacier is once in a lifetime. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!!!

Highly recommended , we booked the ultimate tour & it was worth it , amazing scenery , more than enough time to take as many photos as we wanted when landing on snow, we enjoyed every minute , Dion the pillot was friendly & informative .
