With only 2 restaurants operating, this is the one you should go in this Covid global pandemic. Asian fusion restaurant and all our 3 dishes are yummy. Delivery is by bidfood and the products from delivery look good quality. Chief are prob chinese, and it is all good! Made our day in this global pandemic and glad that I showed support.

Let's not mess about: this is the best restaurant/cafe in Franz. Affordable(ish), cabinet food if you're looking light, terrific Asian inspired menu with surprisingly high quality actual authentic dishes if you're looking to push the boat out. Good range of drinks. Good coffee. Seriously, ANY of the Asian dishes are as good as you'll get anywhere. Don't mess about with dumplings or spring rolls, get real food, they're good at it. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. This place rocks.

To be fair I only dropped in for a bite for breakfast. Still being fair the coffee was good however I ordered a sausage roll as there wasn't much in the cabinet at that time of day (0715). On hind sight maybe I should have realised that the days baking hadn't started however when I got back to my Motel room & started to eat my (breakfast) it was only one attempt at trying to cut my sausage roll that it was evident that it was the previous day's fair. If you're going to charge me full price then my expectation is fresh! You've let yourself down for me SnakeBite.

The name belies the very friendly service, yummy Asian & Kiwi food and great craft beer available. The small bites section of the menu is great for snacking or if you don't have a huge appetite. Delicious morsels of yumminess

We had 2 lunches at Snake Bite. On our first trip in, we had the Fish and Chips and the Fish Gua Pau. On our second trip in we had the Pad See Ew and the Duck Noodle soup. The meals were all yummy. The batter on the fish (fish and chips) were a bit brown in colour but it was crispy. The meal came with 3 pieces of fish and a special tartar sauce. The best meal we had was the Pad See Ew. We discovered the chef was from the Udon province in Thailand. It was simply divine and so wonderfully delicious. This meal was the reason we gave this place a 5 star.

Only popped in for a couple of steinlagers after completing the helicopter tour of the glacier. Very friendly service in what has to be the hardest hit tourism locations in the country. Good on them for keeping trading

Solid! Food was tasty and meal sizes significant. Good value as well. This restaurant seems to have the most diverse options in Franz Josef

The food is good, staff were great. Unfortunately there was a 20% surcharge and they were out of potatoes - which they conveniently offered some hot chips instead, to which I kindly obliged. However, there was a stark lack of chips in substitute of mashed potatoes to go with their delicious pie. Overall, I will go back because the food, atmosphere and staff was all worthwhile.
