We were told that you 100% can see fur seal right here and it is true!! Spent about an hour to see the fur seals sleep and tanning They are super cute and lovely to watch them sleep.
Many seals make great view
Not a long drive from the main road, and if you get the timing right a ton of seals. Many are safely out on nearby islands but a few swim near the lookout and some chill just below the lookout area on the rocks, but look out for seal poo, it takes ages to get off your shoes.
If you want to see seals than this is the place to be, saw atleast 25 seals and alot of seabirds aswell.
You can see yellow eyed penguins end of the day!
Yes, you will see fur seals here, like pretty much anywhere on this coast. But it can be a bit difficult to get up close. There lots of slippery rocks and big holes in between. So watch your step and always think about your escape route. The track itself is not very special at all. It's about 100m from the carpark. Public toilet. No camping allowed here.
The original track has become overgrown and neglected. A beautiful part of the coast has become inaccessible. (Under funding?)
