Geraldine Butchery has the best Boerewors (for the Afrikaners), it's the best I got to taste so far, and you can choose the amount you want, if you want 750g wors they give you, I also feel like their prices

This is one of the best butchers I have ever been to. The range is amazing, the quality is exceptional and the service is stellar. It’s the best of the old-school tradition that we must hold on to as it’s such a treasure. Too pick: ask for the bacon ends cut into inch cubes. This adds amazing flavour to heaps of things but my fave is to dice it up a bit smaller, fry up and add to a home made potato salad.

We lived in Geraldine for 20 years so we got to know Michael and the Geraldine Butchery very well. Always friendly, reliable and most importantly the meat was fantastic. The beef was well aged, the sirloin roasts superb. All his pork products were free range. Despite moving south to Central Otago, I have tried to stock up with him whenever passing through Geraldine. He is a top class butcher. We really miss his great products and friendly banter.

What a great butchery! Alongside the standard meat that you find at a butcher, there's a great selection of prepared meats to take home and cook, our favourites are lamb kofta and chicken Mignon. There’s a fabulous selection of sausages, perfect for the BBQ or Bangers and mash. The streaky bacon is truly delicious! Supporting our local businesses has become so much more important of late... check them out.
