What a great spot. Walked out there easily enough though it was a bit slippery just before low tide. Half the walk is beach the other half is across rocks so not for everyone. Lots of crabs to be hunted, ricks to be turned over and seaweed to be thrown about! Lots of fun.

Very nice photo motif You can park near the reserve on Murray streat I guess. From here it's a roughly 30 min walk to the lighthouse. You can only get to the lighthouse during low tide. You can start 1h before lowest tide to be sure to have enough time there. You walk over sand and than over a lot of wet stones. Some shake a bit when you set you foot on it. So, be careful. Good shoes are recommended You will be rewarded when you arrive the lighthouse

You'll need to pass through water for the very last part. Nice walk.

Definitely place to go if you come to Gisborne. Make sure to have good grip boots with ocean tides going out. Walking stick great advantage as you be walking on rocks, slippery at times, photo taken on the way there. Shame as have heaps on my Google drive, though for some reasons cannot uploading any of them. Best time before sun rises so once you get there enjoy the beauty of nature

Easy walk at low tide take sandshoes and swimmers for final 20 meters if you want to climb. A rope would be usefull for decent. Sliperywhen wet!
