As an ex-student from recent years - when asked if I would recommend Elite School of Beauty to other aspiring Beauty Therapists I had these words to offer... No. No I wouldn't recommend Elite. The Makeup Artistry course is pointless and should be scratched altogether. What you pay thousands of dollars to learn on this particular course you could easily teach yourself from Youtube etc. Majority of the L4 and L5 courses we're spent doing pointless and countless case studies of electrolysis. It seemed all we did were electrolysis and different types of massage. My intake of students were more interested in doing something of the more creative side like spray tanning and nail art. We did very little of that. We had beds for desks. Forever running out of product. Running out of linen. Client nights were a shamble. Students showing up hungover. I personally wouldn't have paid for half the students work. Majority of the staff were lovely to learn and work with. Quite frankly I could think of two particular class tutors who would have been better suited to higher positions as campus manager and second in charge as they had better communication skills and people skills than the current ones in place.

One of the tutors was incredibly rude to me when I said I had trouble getting through for an appointment. I explained that I had left messages on several days, and several weeks, but got no call back. She said customers would be called back, to which I replied, but I didn't. The conversation went back and forth until she advised that maybe I should not come here anymore, if I feel that way. What a great example of a tutor..... The treatments are great value for money, takes a bit longer but that's to be expected since it is a training environment and I don't expect the same level of expertise here than I would elsewhere. It's nice to get a cheaper massage and support the students at the same time. If you can get an appointment.

Courtney performed a 60 minute shellac pedicure for me today through a Grabone Voucher. She was very professional the cuticle work was perfect and I am thrilled with the end result! The south african manager was excellent and is truely a great role model for NZ beauty therapists! I highly recommend and with definitley be back
