Well worth the extra drive out to Lower Hutt as it is a huge step up from Fergs in town. It has a great variety of walls for all levels of climbers and each wall has harder and easier routes. There are also two self belay walls (good if you're on your own), a kids bouldering room, and a 13 bouldering room. The staff are very friendly, they know what they're taking about, and they give you a very clear, thorough belaying tutorial which ensures complete safety. This is a great activity.

Great place to climb indoors. 2 self belay walls quite handy if you’re on your own. Lots of skill levels catered for. Can get a bit crowded on some evenings but it’s a nice chilled atmosphere. Staff are fab of course!

Hangdog continually update the bouldering climbs. The upstairs gym has been upgraded with flooring and equipment. The main room was freshly painted in Feb. Awesome place to climb.

Favorite climbing gym in Wellington. Always a bunch of new routes and it is extremely well maintained. Don't go late at night, that my gym time stay out. Kidding the more the merrier!

Although prices are as high as some of the climbs, it is an extremely professional and friendly atmosphere, I will pay for professionalism, and good clean environment for fun and challenging activities...highly recommended!!!
