Place is good but the pics uploaded doesn't lead to forest amble sculptures... If someone can find a way through dog stream reserve then it should be uploaded... We went for 30 min but couldn't reach forest amble sculptures.... So we re guided our route to hanmer forest entrance and from there we reached forest amble sculptures... So any one wants to do hiking or biking dog stream reserve is good, but it won't lead you to forest amble sculptures....

Great walk, funky art, very enjoyable
This is a lovely walk under the forest trees, with our without a dog. The animal sculptures on the Forest Amble are well worth a look in too. Highly recommended
Worth taking a walk or bike through this reserve. Dog friendly. Difficult to navigate due to confusing signage and despite getting lost for a hour very enjoyable.
Nice place for a pic-nic with family. The park is a big open area where you can just park the car under a tree and enjoy some relax time there. The walk in the forest are easy and a nice escape to the town. However, these walk do not really have any view but the forest itself ...
We loved the walk to see the carved wooden birds & animals, but were unsure where to go to see them. Also when we got to the start, we didn't know which side of the road the carvings were. Need more signage for North Islanders
Such a cool walk just an easy stroll for kids and the statues are amazing.
Fabulous walk through the beautiful forest and love the unexpected around most bends.
