Good for kids
Not easy to get to the top specially around the end. But it's really worth all the effort. Beautiful views at the summit. And you can carry on the track to Jollies pass road and then from there, there is another track which takes you almost to hanmer cemetery. Nobody really carry on after the summit so you have the path for yourself.

It's a really nice daywalk. I would recommend to go till the top. Must see in hanmer springs. Around 2.5 hours till the top with photo breaks.
Good place to start from if you're going up Mt Isobel. The track is easy to follow. If you want to cut it short you can head to the waterfall and back
Great view at the summit and wonderful walking experience
4.9 km to the top, sign says it takes 2.5 hours to get there. Husband and I did it on a calm clear day in the winter and the view from the top was amazing. Gets pretty steep at some points, but well worth it. Parking area is also pretty small.
Love the views and native flora. Stunning views of Waiau plans of the Hanmer basin.
