The chances are you did this because you believed that by bringing people together you could create something together - create art, create music, create a change or create a solution. Human beings need community. we're naturally social creatures who do great things when we come together. The age of social networks has enabled millions of online communities but it will never replace our need for real human face to face interactions. There are thousands of motivated and passionate kiwis who want to come together to make things happen, but it's currently really difficult to find the right space to do this in - yet the irony is - there is so much amazing, unique and wonderful space across New Zealand that is not being used enough. We started HappenSpace because we are those people. We kept needing to find space for workshops and groups and it was bloody difficult and time consuming - yet it was frustrating to be surrounded by so much opportunity. The vision for HappenSpace is that we create a platform where people are inspired by interesting spaces to connect more, create more and do more for the people around them.
