Huruiki Angus is rated 3 out of 5 in the category farming. Read and write reviews about Huruiki Angus. Huruiki Angus breeds and finishes 100% Pure New Zealand Angus cattle (no American blood) on Mt Huruiki at Helena Bay in Northland, New Zealand. Huruiki is an ancestral mountain of the Ngāti Hau and Te Uri o Hikihiki hapū (sub-tribes). We strive to produce cattle that are as natural as possible - fed exclusively on fresh grass and native herbs and plants grown on our farm, with no synthetic inputs, hormonal growth promotants or genetically modified organisms used in or on our cattle or farm. We maintain low stocking rates so the environment is not over-burdened. We are kaitiaki (guardians of the environment) and our farming practices are based on Te Ao Māori (the Māori world view). Our logo tells our story. The bull symbolises 100% Pure New Zealand Angus cattle (no American blood). The crest symbolises hill country cattle. The green symbolises 100% grass-fed cattle. The two intertwined koru (loop or coil) symbolise the symbiotic relationship between our cattle and the environment.
