Took one night here. basic campsite, with a good shelter. In the same area with DOC visitor centre and arthur pass toilet.

Basic campsite in the Arthur's pass village. Flush toilets and cooking shelter. It's quite noisy as it's between the road and the railway track. But it's good starting point for Arthur's pass walk and Avalanche peak. And it's very cheap so it worths it.

A very basic DOC shelter in the heart of Arthur's Pass. You have to pay 8 per person to stay here. They provide a hut shelter along with toilet facility. There are no cooking facilities available here. It's very handy location if you are planning to do some walks.

DOC site. Good for overnighting in Arthurs Pass.

Very cheap campsite. Just pay for the adult for 8 per night. Self serve. Big shelter for cooking but just a empty house. Only sink and water supply inside with chair and table. If u sleep not that deep. The place very close the main road so u will heard car voice all night. But lucky for we saw the KEA in this side. So cute! Here is windy not really comfortable for tent camp.

Handy to have a proper shelter to cook and clean but the camp site is right next to the the main road and the railway so there's a lot noise throughout the night.

That moment when you plan to camp in the famous Arthur's Pass... And you end up in a noisy carpark!! A carpark between a busy railway, and a busy road... We were so disappointed. Not particularly recommended.
