Hunter Valley Station was for sale when I visited in 2015 on an AOPA Flying Safari -- but I'm sure its stayed much the same. Beautiful isolated lakeside station with a nice strip to fly into and interesting friendly folk - a perfect base from which to explore the fantastical South Island. What could be better?
