I went to an informative and a well run seminar on small business, and your IRD commitments in tax terms. Managed well-and both presenters were well versed in what needed to be done, to grow the business, and they were authentic, as opposed to referring back to a bookmark. Well worth it for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow!!

I make 47000 a year and my wife hasnt worked for around two years, we have one 19month son. My wife has been trying to sort out wff while I am at work as it is incorrect and we are only recieving beststart. I come to learn that they have my wifes estimated income set at 52k when in fact it should be 0. Yet they are adamant at the Hamilton office that the information they have on file is correct. Its not even a case of 'ok now its 0' lets make a reavaluation, its always been 0 income for my wife as she hasnt worked at all in that financial year. Instead of sending blank estimate letters with xx taxable earnings at the end of it to myIR, broaden your listening abilities and actually hear what the clients concerns are, as a family unit we are not recieving our full and correct entitlement to WFF, and as a low income tax/rates payer this is simply wracking my brain. Please dont make more empty suggestions like get in contact with winz to see if they can help and to verify income because theyre sending us straight back to you at IR.

Senior IRD staff disgusting treatment of myself. Changing policies and forcing my family into financial hardship, feeling financially threatened, basic human rights disintegrated without resolution. Financial incarceration without negotiation. Expecting their pound of flesh with no moral compass. Telling me this is what we want, if you dont likenit we will penalize you, with late fees, so while paying off arrears they penalize me anyway on the principal sum.

Ringing this department is a nightmare and I question the management skills. You do know that there will be high call volume the most logical solution is to hire more staff in the call centre - I didn't need to get a degree to figure this one out!! Hilarious that this department is representing our government and yet the service is absolutely questionable... maybe need to go back to business course?

Lol I’ve tried for two weeks to call you guys and every time I commit to your voice prompts and wait to speak to somebody, I’m told that the phone lines are busy then I’m cut, I can’t even wait on hold. I’ve called every hour on the hour for two weeks. Still for TWO WEEKS I cannot get through. Your complaints line is always busy too. So please don’t give me the same reply you do every one else like “call complaints management” because you can’t. It’s a joke.

Tried multiple occasion to get hold of them but no luck. As government organization, I do not believe this is acceptable manner. Fully do understand call center can be hammered with enquirers but you won't get calls if you haven't made any silly mistakes from first hand. Also, people who are making calls are also busy people as well.
