Came into the Riccarton store today to buy a new laptop for Architecture. After floating around the area for 15 minutes looking at options & waiting for the 3 staff members in the laptop area to acknowledge and serve me, I assumed they were not interested in talking to me in any way. I gave up and left. Noel Leemings where great and got a 4k sale. Won't be back here any time soon.

Heard about coloured vinyl soundtrack to Netflixs' "Dark". Inquired at Riccarton jb, told they didn't have it. Sales person dude looked it up, made some calls and a week later had two limited edition colour vinyl pressings. That's old school record store service right there. Massive thanks JBHiFi.

Prices and range are good, but have never found the staff helpful. On one occasion buying an amp for work, they told me to come back in half an hour because the audio guy was on lunch, and they didn't know where the box was for the display. I came back, the audio guy still wasn't there but found someone who couldn't believe that's what I was told, sold me what I was needed and was out the door in 5 minutes. This week I wanted to buy a phone for my wife, they had multiple options on display that we were looking at, well advertised and priced. Nothing was in stock, and the staff had no idea on a phone by phone basis, they had to look it up every time. No suggestions from the staff at alternative options, just a sorry. To make it worse, they phone we ideally wanted was available online, but not with the payment option I wanted to use, can they sell it in store and transfer it or send it to me? No they couldn't. Wild. We brought a phone from somewhere else, and I doubt I will be going back.
