You can see the waterfalls 1 min from the road (: I didn’t try walking in to the base of the falls.

Lovely free spot to stop for a picnic and lovely views and a brisk swim.
Great place to stop on the road to Glenorchy, very panoramic, usually not crowded, with a great view on the two islands. There is now a better access road, better parking and a toilet. Take care when entering or leaving the gravel road, there is a bend that might hide approaching vehicles (on the main road). Sandflies paradise, don't forget the repellent!
A nice little waterfall off the road to Glenorchy/Queenstown. You can find a green little pool at the base of the waterfall 10-15 minutes from the road. Refreshing and perfect for a cool dip. You might need to bush bash to reach the base. No picnic area but can make use of the rocks.
It’s alright but you can’t get to the waterfall- it’s all blocked with shrubs. The sound of the waterfall is awesome but no view
Beautiful, beautiful place although you have to go through private land. I would usually feel bad but damn that was so worth it. About 15 minute walk, no path anymore or barely so you might get lost à little but my boyfriend went there a few years ago and remembered the path! Beautiful and quiet little stop on the way to Glenorchy from Queenstown
Not easy to find (cross the creek and follow the hill up through private land. When you reach the falls, climb over the fence and be careful while you slip down to the fall.) but totally worth. This small Waterfall is like an idyll. Looks like it’s out of a fairytale. Very nice spot! (And you will be alone)
Amazing falls
