Spectacular view! With few ducks in the area. If you need a break from a long drive, go and have a picnic here, there is a picnic bench! The lake is like a mirror. Stunning

Lovely lake on a great road. Ideal motorcycle riding area. Lake has a number of walking tracks for those wish to hike in the area. Parking is available in the area.

Just 1.5 hours driving from christchurch, very good place for a short break

Lovely photo spot where you get to see a 360 degree view of the mountains and a river streams plenty of parking spaces and to get to the stream, there’s a walk downwards from the parking area. Two toilet cubicles here too.

Great spot with good history! 500 years of burnings in this area has dramatically changed the scenery here!
