Super friendly and helpful ladies running the place set us up for another great memory of the golfing road trip for my sons and I. Any golf course that can survive in the weather down there (we had a cloudless summer day though) is always going to be a bit rough but that's part of the adventure. Some really challenging and tempting holes over water were a great laugh. Thank you The Cairns

Bit of a rough course and not always easy to find Tee off points. Beautiful day when I played so excellent views. Would give it another go if I'm back that way.

WOW! What a magical and comforting accommodation in the heart of Tekapo! As the owner of an eco-friendly travel agency, and avid traveler myself-I highly recommend The Cairns! We worked with Lisa to plan the perfect stay for two of our travelers and their 1 year old baby. Caroline and Josh spent two weeks in New Zealand and said that The Cairns was a welcoming and refreshing retreat in between all of their glamping accommodations. The views were beautiful, they loved the updated and fresh accommodation, and it was baby friendly! They LOVED meeting the farm animals and walking the property. Lisa was so wonderful for us to work with and we knew our friends were in wonderful hands! Thank you so much Lisa for such a wonderful stay for Caroline, Josh, and baby Owen! We can't wait to send our other travelers to you int he future.

Well it was a real experience !! Trying to find it was an experience in itself and a bit more signage on the course to direct you to the next hole would be great. We paid for 18 holes but 9 holes was enough and the beers at the finish with the million dollar views made it worth the effort

Stayed at the Hillcrest Lodge apartments which were great and also back onto the golf course. It's a 9 hole golf course with great views of Lake Tekapo and is quite challenging with a some water to negotiate. The people that run the course are very helpful and it's great value considering they threw in 6 golf balls and a handful of tees. They do need to mow the rough along the fairways as it's pretty thick and easy to lose balls on even reasonable shots. A few signs showing visitors were the office is would be helpful but overall enjoyed the experience.
