Leadfoot Festival was really, really fabulous for anyone interested in motor cars & motorsport.
Today we went to Leadfoot Ranch for the Annual Leadfoot festival. An event that has become iconic with the Coromandel and car and racing enthusiasts all over New Zealand. The event is held on Rod And Shirley Millens property near Heihei. This year we were treated to the appearance of some top notch motorsport talent, including Mark Webber, Hayden Padden, Greg Murphy, and New Zealand Drift legend Magic Mike. The main event today was taken out by Alistair McCrea in his beautifully presented Subaru WRX STI Impress at a very spritely sub 52 seconds for the 1 mile course. The food and refreshments were excellent, and I will definitely be returning next year to this annual event. As well as famous drivers there were also some famous cars many of which have competed overseas in major motor sport events. Well done Rod and Shirly, hope you are both ok after Rods were bungle today and can't wait till next year.

This is the third time I have been to Leadfoot and will go again next year as I like it so much. I got to meet Rod who is a hell of a nice guy and I hope his car is not to bad. Thanks for putting on a great event.
Honestly this is one of those events that you have to come to it is just an amazing event theres a massive arrangement of cars the property is amazing. You just have to come see for your self
Words really can't describe how good leadfoot actually is. This is a must do for anyone.
Lots of fun. Put together well. Still think the spectator stands need improving as sitting on a hill all day wears your back out. Still love going every year and will continue. Great effort from Rod and the team. Would live to enter my car one day!!
