Everyone seemed to be having a great time, and in awe at the enormous portions. Such a great rejuvenation project, and we loved that it’s vegan friendly. Fellow diners joined in conversation, and there was a nice vibe. My electric car could charge right outside, while we watched the sunset A real breath of fresh air, as we took a stroll down the pier afterwards Great work Level ONE

I cannot believe it took us so long to find this place. The decor, ambience, lighting, service & food were all brilliant. Prices very reasonable, so many lovely touches with the decor, a jungle of a bathroom. The staff were knowledgeable of the menu, unobtrusive, attentive and patient. We’ll definitely be back. P.s. we were half way through our meal before we realised it was a vegetarian restaurant, plus prawns and eggs, but the choice was so expansive we didn’t notice the absence of meat.

Excellent coffee, food, and great range of craft beer. If that isn't enough, you'll be hard-pressed to find a spot with a better view or live music on a Tuesday night!

The food as usual was fabulous however, after today we will NOT be returning to Level One. The service as usual was slow, but we expected this, the food is worth waiting for. We did not receive 2 dishes which were on the list we provided for ease of ordering. We were advised that unfortunately one had been missed, but we were told the second dish had been brought to us. All 5 around the table confirmed we had not received it, the waitress reiterated that she had brought it. We asked her to look through the plates - which she did and obviously couldn’t find it - “I’ll talk to my boss” , she did not return........disappointing...... We had brought our own birthday cake for which I found out there was a BYO 7 charge - OK, the cake was brought through, we eventually asked for plates but couldn’t bare to ask again for some forks - it was quite messy enjoying chocolate lava cake with our fingers! On leaving the 7 BYO charge was declined but I left feeling embarrassed for myself and the group who’d we’d invited. We absolutely did not receive the dish we were told we had been given, this was not acknowledged and we left feeling like we’d try to rob the place! Come on Level one ......customer service?????.........

Good food massively overshadowed by awful customer service. Not sure why we had to ask for plates, cutlery, and water, which are basic things to serve a table ordering food. Won't recommend and won't be back. For that price we can eat somewhere that doesn't make us feel like we are being a nuisance.

Easily the best place in New Brighton, if not Christchurch! The food is amazing, so much flavour and perfect portion sizes (on the larger side). People that work there are awesome, amazing views too. 10/10. We LOVE it!

We can not thank Kate, Rebecca and the Level One team enough for our wonderful wedding day. Nothing was an issue they made it happen. The venue is amazing for a beach side wedding. The food and service was flawless. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work to make our day special. Katie & Zak

Pretty dissappointing experience. Great food, nice view, terrible service, bad organization. Waited over 30 minutes for food to come out and were pre warned of a delay - place wasn't that busy. We wrote down our order as a list and presented this to the waitress. X2 of the dishes ordered were not received. We then advised the waitress who mentioned she had missed one dish off the list which she did not see and then essentially called us liars in regard to the other missing dish, to which I told her to check the dishes/ plate count and were still charged for the missing ordered dish that was never received. We brought a birthday cake with us and were advised there would be a 7 fee for bringing this which they did not charge for. I had to chase the waitress down for cake plates who decided to not give cutlery with the cake plates..My parents left feeling pretty embarrassed with essentially being called liars and how they were made to feel at a time of celebration. We will not be returning based upon this experience today.
