Nice easy walk. Wide foot path if you take main track. Great views from the top . Really enjoyed this one.

Drive to Te Whiti Park and park your car there to start your hike up Te Whiti Riser. It took us 1.5 hours going up the main track, and 1 hr back down. There were lots of shortcuts/off tracks- I guess made by other hikers(?), which could make the hike a bit confusing at times. At the summit, you get views of Hutt Valley and a bit of Wellington Harbour and Matiu/Somes Island. Hike was very doable.
The Lower Hutt Firebreak is a great hiking track. Along the track you'll find gorgeous views of the city as well as the harbour and Wellington city depending on visibility and whereabouts in the track you are. I prefer starting the track from the Summit Road entrance as there are good benches and nicer views.
Nice walk through the bush. Great for all fitness levels young and old, choose your own pace and the view from the top looks out over the harbour. You can't beat Welly on a good day!
Excellent walking trail in Hutt region. We took Fire break. O boy, it was steep one and for sure it test your fitness. When you reach the top, that's the reward "breathtaking" view. Walking down is another challenge. Need a good shoe grip and we need to be careful as it is steep with loose rock.
really great walk. so many trails for all levels of fitness.
It was incredibly amazing and the view was incredible. My mum, my sister and I walked to the top and saw an amazing view!
Great walk and the scenic view from the top is awesome! Good cardio too!
