There is no one monitoring parking. People park on disabled parking with no permit. Today was the worst double parked blocking wheelchair ramp and my car which was parked disabled spot. Had to wait and call around but still no one could find owner. Security helped to get me out. This has happened to me on numerous occasions.

Friendly and helpful staff who answered all questions that I had, advised me on how to go about with everything, a quiet library as it should be and has a huge selection of books. Has free WiFi and many computers free to use for anyone interested.

Dropped off a book, and 10 days later got a shock as I went to get books out that I was charged 34 fee for a "water damaged" book. NO phone call or email from the manager of this library, to let me know of this issue. A DECENT and PROFESSIONAL "manager" would've at least emailed or called! I have no idea how this book was "water damaged" because if it was me, I would've went to the staff and told them, not leave a damaged book in the slot. I have been a library member for years and this has never happened before. Why did it take 10 days to upload this fine on my account and not get one phone call to ask about what happened or if I knew anything about the damage! SMH!! Update 24/04/19 I did go in and speak to the manager of this library who claims the book came in "wet". Again..I had no idea if this was the case because when I placed it in the slot it was not wet! I asked about why the fine was loaded 10 days later? An excuse about renovating the library, which I wasnt even asking about. Omg. My lesson is to check books before ever taking it into the Mangere Town centre library. Wouldnt want an unexpected fine, that you have no knowledge about, to suddenly be put on your account from a "manager" that doesnt even message/call or even email you to let you know. Ridiculous!!
