Love the place. Lovely trees to park at powerpoint sites.Green grass all over. Dog friendly. Reserve right next to campsite with beautiful walkways next to river. Showers, laundry and kitchen clean. Neat and tidy. Will def visit again.

Over the last 2yrs I have stayed there with my dog in my old campervan. It is well maintained, clean, tidy and I have always received a friendly and professional reception on arrival. They change reasonable rates. I highly recommend Taumarunui Holiday Park.
A little run down and rough around the edges but with a bit of elbow grease and a tidy up this campsite could be a lot more appealing. The kitchen needs a deep clean and clearing out of old food, pans etc. The shower and toilet block also need a deep clean, repaint and new flooring. I guess it’s a cheap overnight stay at just 20 each and the owners look to be making changes. With a general tidy up they could increase prices to make the improvements needed.
Awesome place to rest as a weary hiker. Beautiful surroundings and awesome utilities, all you could want. The service was the best part, extremely friendly and helpful for planning my next section.
My Dad stayed here from Feb til after lockdown and we can't thank the team enough for their help for my Dad during that time (they really did go above and beyond). The park is idyllic and Dad loved it by the river. So peaceful. Great staff and a really great place to stay. Fully recommend it.
Great place. Not so much for the showers or the toilets that are a bit old but really for the atmosphere and the kindness of the people running the place. Really good service and a nice place to get started on your next adventure. Highly recommand it and thanks again
Really nice setting and all facilities were clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay and we'd return without hesitation.
This establishment is false advertising where do i start.the lady running the establishment has not been cleaning the place.the toilet floors have not been cleaned there was toilet paper all over the floors.washing machines only 1 working but guess are told cannot use between 10am an 11am.the lawns have not been mowed around the grounds.And asking paying customers if they can mow the lawns is not right.they have a dog that is allowed to roam free an yet customers must keep there dogs tired up.An should they not be giving paying customers a receipt each time they pay for all we know she could be pocketing there rent.ive put this up because this is not good at all.i have family who have been staying there over several months in there campervans an feel they are being taken advantage of from this establishment.i hope the sydicate running this place do something about this an go see for themselves how disgusting your investment property is being taken care of.
