If I could give zero stars I would. I went here as a student and I can honestly say that it was the most horrible experience. I was bullied to the point of being suicidal. As a child. Only a few teachers actually bothered to make sure I was okay. The worst thing was seeing the people that bullied me getting certificates and the citizenship cup. What a joke. I had a few good friends and a few teachers that actually cared made sure I wasn't put in the same class as those people. The rest just did not give a flying sugar puff about how I would have felt, being depressed AS A CHILD and being put in the same class as the people that bullied me. I have read other reviews and it seems that a few people share the same sentiments. Apart from the issues within the student body (maybe it's the culture?), the ICT program is awesome and the music program is awesome. There are some teachers there that have a real passion for what they do and they actually care about what they teach and more importantly, their students.

We moved to area specifically to get into marina view school and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The school don’t care about their students at all. So many bullies there aswell. I strongly recommend sending your children elsewhere. I took my child out of this school and never looked back.
This School doesn’t deserve 1 star. Marina view school is by far THE WORST SCHOOL I have ever come across, they don’t care at all about vulnerable children’s well-being catering more to only the well off children. Marina view school is money run meaning they accept a lot of donations but don’t fork out when it’s genuinely needed. They lack integrity compassion and the children are expected to be robots and do as they’re told when they’re told and if they don’t they get labeled as non compliant. Marina view school you should be ashamed of yourselves and start to re evaluate the needs of your pupils because you are failing them. I’d rather send my kid to a decile 1 school than to ever set foot in this one again. This isn’t over either I intend to make everyone aware of the corruption that lies in those office doors and I won’t stop until you are exposed.
Bad school , why do you send a unpaid bill to all the parents for the school donation? Bullies here also never get held accountable, students of the teachers are always put first. The Maori teacher here is Indian and doesn’t teach the kids the correct Te Reo in the Kapa Haka group. Parents often get the blame if their child isn’t doing well and refuse to see that it is within their school that needs assessing. Please stop invoicing the parents that think they must pay the donation, it is a donation and should not be included in the unpaid invoices!!!

Very good primary and cool school went there from years 1-6
Apart from year eight, this school is great. But overall the primary is much better than the intermediate. Would highly recommend the primary. But will say that it would be better to spend your intermediate years somewhere else.
