10 out of 10! So happy that I have chosen to attend dance classes at McCallion Irish Dance Academy last year! The atmosphere and people are so friendly. There is always room for grow, either if you are a beginner or if you did Irish dancing before - you will find yourself there, easily! I am so thankful for our teacher Maire, who was a great mentor during the last year for us, and for me especially. I had a crazy idea that I would like to perform Irish dancing routines at my wedding day, and Maire was so into it, was very professional, supportive and patient during my dance journey, and we did it (together with Maire and 3 other wonderful dancers). It was such a special and unforgettable event! So thankful for Irish dance team, couldn't recommend Dance Academy highly enough!

I joined McCallion six months ago and have had the best time! Maire is a fantastic teacher and you couldn't ask for anything more - the classes are fun, energetic and such a good laugh with everyone. The atmosphere is supportive and lively, and the choreography is fun to watch and even more fun to learn. It's great for beginners through to advanced, with different levels on offer, and plenty of opportunities to work towards performing to audiences. It's a good workout and I'm definitely fitter and more toned for it! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to try Irish dancing for the first time, and for anyone who wants to pick it back up after a break. You'll be glad you did!

10/10 ;)! Absolutely love everything about the McCallion-Hester dance academy, having danced since i was very little, Irish dancing was one huge thing i missed when moving overseas,I recently moved from Australia to New Zealand where i lived for many years and never really found an adult Irish dance classes that had the expertise and professionalism that these guys have here in Auckland!! The standard is incredible and the opportunities are endless, from beginners through to advanced and everything in-between they have it all covered! I would highly recommend giving it ago, whether it be for fun, fitness, to meet new people or as a previous dancer wanting to get back into it, this is definitely the place to go!!! Maire and Sean are so welcoming, enthusiastic and have the patients of a saint!! Amazing job guys, so glad i found you in Auckland!!!!!

I can be a bit self-conscious and I am certainly not a natural when it comes to dancing, so I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to attend these classes and I am so glad that I did! Sean and Maire are very patient when teaching us new routines and are happy for us to video steps so we can practice them more at home :) The classes are sociable and there is an emphasis on having fun. They are very good value for money as you have a great time while also getting a really good workout! I find Irish dancing fascinating to watch, so having the opportunity to take part is very exciting! If you’re tempted, I highly recommend giving it a go.

Highly recommended, especially after a hard day at work to release stress and exert energy. Even though I'm new to Irish dance, I found the teachers were great and understanding that you learn at your own pace, and have time for all their students. Great atmosphere too, and you'll certainly learn a lot in a short time, while having fun along the way. Definitely worth checking out if you want to start dancing :)

Our 6yo girl has been having a fantastic experience with the Mccallion-Hester team. Their energy, enthusiasm and patience ensure that the whole group develop confidence in both their individual and collective abilities. This has been a really positive experience that has opened up a whole new world of possibility :)

Yes I recommend the class. It is a good activity. I really enjoy every lesson Actually i am not good at dance. But, teachers cheer up me. And they show how to dance slowly. When I forget the whole steps even though they are teaching me repeatedly. They are generous of us. Just join with us :)

I have always been fascinated by the modern Irish dancing, so when I heard about this class I was keen to give it a try! The teachers Maire and Sean are very patient yet make sure that every class is fun; both newcomers and regulars are equally catered for. It's a great social atmosphere, a real buzz during the dancing and a superb workout. Only a few months in and made so much progress since starting out having not really done any dancing before! Highly recommended :)
