Don't come here. I never write reviews but had to write this - needless to complain to owner as he couldn't be bothered and gave me shoulders. Must run the place on luring people over affordable lunch deals. Rice was dry and hard. I was glad I did not order any sashimi. Salad could not even be considered salad. Fish and meat was just okay but certainly not fresh. I would be wary of having raw fish here... actually - stay clear of this place.

Cheap, decent food. The main guy seemed resentful that we had disturbed his TV show though, he was curt and definitely not Japanese.

Overnight rice, and the rice had hand cream taste in that. X-mas has 15%extra charge got no idea why is that bar can have that 5 star.

Sushi was wrapped in terrible fashion and filled with browning avocado and celery. Green tea was basically hot water and expensive to boot. The first time I have refused to pay a full bill and walked out of a restaurant. The food is simply unacceptable.

So awful we were actually laughing. The food was unappealing, and the service was like a Japanese "Fawlty Towers". Every table was dirty when we entered, and only cleaned *as needed*. The waiter was unbelievable, dragging chairs across the floor, splashing miso across the table and dumping our meals at us, punctuated by a loud "Sweet!" Ignore the 5 star reviews - I'm guessing they are fake. This is truly the worst experience I've had in Dunedin. Stay away. I usually feel bad giving businesses bad reviews, but in this case the 1 star review is well deserved. Ugh.
