We stayed at Terraced Chalets during the NZ level 4 and 3 Covid-19 lockdowns. Jane, John, Maddy & Izzy the dog turned our lockdown in to a really memorable experience, one that we left as friends! The chalets are modern, comfortable, self contained and well equiped with everything we needed, even for a 7 week stay. Just three chalets are set into the hillside, each with a private balcony to stare out over the valley of orchards and vinyards and onto Tasman Bay. An extra BBQ area with gas BBQ, tools & table/benches is shared by the three chalets. The on-site free range chickens will love taking your food scraps and reward you with extra tasty eggs. If you're lucky, the fruit & nut trees nestled around the properties will be ripe with produce as they were for us. Close enough to use as a base to explore the Tasman National Park, the southern end of the coast track is only a 15 min drive away, plenty of great beaches even closer. Riwaka is at the end of the road with some small shops/cafe's/artisan brewery, Motoueka is a short drive if you need more. Be sure to make use of the many fruit stalls on the roads (and back-roads) for really fresh produce. Note that you really do need some transport to make best use of the area, there's little within a short walking distance of the property (also part of it's attraction). Drop Jane & John a call or email directly to book and make the most of their local knowledge to plan your trip at the same time. Wave to John on his ride-on mower as you head up the driveway and don't forget to pay Izzy her scritch tax to continue to your chalet. We will certainly be heading back to Terraced Chalets when we return to the South Island.
Two nights in away from home, were made easier by Jane and John. A spotless little chalet, well appointed and a great shower. We called in at the last minute and our hosts couldn't do enough to help. Thank you so much.

I would give 6 stars if I could. Great location, great new chalets, very clean and very friendly hosts. Unfortunately we could just stay 1 night.
My family and I were very happy at Jane, John and Izzy's chalet. We were especially pleased with Jane's friendly demeanor, the excellent shower, modern appliances, the thoughtful touches, the delicious smell of flowers and Izzy's wagging tail! Would highly recommend for good value, and a quiet night of sleep. Thank you!!
I stayed here for a weekend in early April and Jane was very welcoming and the cabin spacious and clean with a lovely view. It was well located, just a short drive from several great villages and beaches. And Jane went above and beyond to forward on an item I'd left behind. Thanks again Jane!
Have stayed here a couple of times with the new owners.Property is very smart. Accommodation is first class.Views across the valley out to sea are stunning. Hosts are super friendly and accommodating to your needs. Looking forward to my next visit.
