Absolutely stunning. Unique geology and vegetation you won't see anywhere else in the world. Mountain ranges shaped by volcanic activity, then submerged and uplifted again, then a period of glacial activity. You can see evidence of these processes all over the track leading up to the summit: glacial lake sediments at Brod Bay, limestone bluffs, and volcanic rocks and scree near the summit. The view is unbeatable and you are more than likely to see some cheeky kea Alpine parrots. Stay in Luxmore Hut and explore the Luxmore caves to top off the great experience.

Amazing view !!!
Kepler track day 2 is the best day of the Great Walk (coming from Luxmore Hut). Make sure to take the 10 minutes to hit the summit of Mt. Luxmore.
Kepler was our favorite track on our South Island travels. Lunch on top of Luxmore was awesome - did it all in a day, so no reservations required.
Superbe vue, on peut y croiser dans mal de kea (svp ne les nourrissez pas)
