There are attractions enough for half day..if you pay for some of them you will able to spend a full day here. I recommend you starting from the morning because after that you can enjoy the area for a lunch or late lunch. You can bring kids and they will love it

Cannot believe this state of the art museum is completely free with world class exhibits! Definitely a must visit if you are spending anytime in Wellington or just passing through. The cafe has a good selection of small foods and snacks and the gift shop has some good small and expensive gift choices.

I saw the amazing exhibition of WW1. The statues they had made were so life like I thought they were gonna move any second. The stories chilled me to the core and walking through the halls stepping on grave markers the entire way. I truly believe this place has something for everyone.

Excellent national museum worth an admission fee but free for most exhibits. Cafeteria has healthy well priced food.

A national museum for free. They exhibit almost all scientific things about NZ. Beautiful building with lots of exhibition and also shops for souvenirs. A must visit place of interest in Wellington!
