New Zealand's transport and technology museum. Very large collection, frequently of very large objects. Accessible by bus. Not much parking for visitors arriving in private vehicles.

Great for adults and kids alike with plenty to see/explore. You can get tram car ride to aviation musuem and back. Cafe on site with nice lawned area. Worth a visit.

This is not an active firestation but a showcase of what it looked like in the past. Impressive and going back in time with the engine a model fireman in a booth answering a call.
