What a fantastic location - set back from the road up a slight rise with views over the bay, surrounded by native bush and, of course, native birdsong. We stayed in a studio chalet which had everything we needed, including a lovely balcony for a cold beer after our many activities in the area (walking - of course; kayaking; mountain biking - the ride around the coast road to Kaiteriteri and the mountain bike park was one of many highlights). The hosts were wonderful and really went above and beyond! Missing the bellbirds!!
I took a lot of photos but have been cleaning up my phones storage so will try and retrieve them as the ones I have here won’t do justice to the place. We rented a two-bedroom chalet and the place is truly a home away from home. It’s clean, tidy and it’s got everything we need on holiday. Chris is so nice and lovely. She waited for us to arrive and it was about 7ish so it was already dark and she guided us t the chalet. The view from our chalet In the morning was jaw-dropping. They have a dishwasher, a dining area, cutlery and crockery, cookware, clean oven, a min fridge and hot/cold shower, inverter, SkyTV and massive main toilet and bath plus the master’s bedroom comes with its own toilet and bath too although tiny but it’s well-thought of space. Wished we could have stayed longer, we were only there for 3 nights! I reckon next time we will stay there again. They are not too far away from the main Marahau village but if you’re staying in here be good to stock up on food as some shops could be closed and it’s a wee bit of a drive.
Great accommodation, location and service. We stayed in the two bedroom chalet and it was perfect for our family of 5. Had everything we needed. 5 Minute walk to the national park and park cafe. Will be staying here again.
Superb! A classy place with the most well-equipped 1-bedroom apt/chalet we’ve ever stayed in, attention to detail, second to none, and that says a lot, as my husband and I have stayed in many similar accommodation styles around the world. Stunning views to boot! Chris, the consummate host - we will be back to chalet 10!
We spent xmas at these beautiful chalets and didn’t want to leave! We stayed in a 1 bedroom chalet which was perfect for 2 adults and a 7 year old, it contained everything we needed and was cleaned daily. The amazing staff were super helpful and obliging! The location is perfect - a short stroll to the township, the swimming bay and the start of the Abel Tasman track. We can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding place, beautiful surroundings. Really nice hosts who look after you. They have really nice touch such as umbrellas outside your challet.
So accommodating and friendly, comfy beds and pillows, stunning views and location was perfect. You can walk into the Abel Tasman national park from the chalet and it’s only an hour and a half away from wharariki beach and an hour from Nelson. We went out for the day and left the windows open but came back to the chalet with the heater on and curtains closed. Was so lovely. We will definitely be back. Amazing spot
