Surprisingly, I enjoyed my meal here. The Fish was cooked to perfection, as was the rib eye steak. My side of Mash was exquisite, I’m aiming to make all these myself. The best part was the desserts, my partner, who normally doesn’t eat desserts, raved about his Lemon Tart and loved my Tropical Verrine. The only disappointment was our waiter, he was lovely, but I think he forgot about us after entrees came out. What was nice to see was the chef coming out with any late dishes, apologising and getting back to his kitchen. We came back on our last day for Breakfast, although 5 minutes away from finishing serving breakfast, the staff seated us and the kitchen baked us cinnamon rolls, danishes and croissants- just amazing! I would definitely recommend eating here.

We’ve been struggling to find a good place to eat breakfast the past week, with terrible places around the area - seriously, you’d think a fancy place like Mister D would know how to fry an egg... but see my other review for them. This one will be on our saved list. Normally we’d avoid hotel restaurants as they’d be overpriced etc but this one definitely has the best scrambled eggs in Napier. Prices are the same if not slightly cheaper than the cafes nearby! Scrambled eggs perfectly cooked! Not oily, not runny, not overcooked. 2 stars extra just for that. Staff very friendly and accommodate dietary needs - instead of bacon we managed to get sausages. Coffee - make sure to ask for extra hot. Short black is very good, not bitter. Flat white - needs to be hotter. Unfortunately no pictures as we were too hungry and enjoyed the food too much :)

Food and staff were great. Nice restaurant eating area. Good was a little pricey.

Food was very average. The battered fish was tasteless, very disappointed - should've been a kids meal. Desserts tasted pre-made, again avereage. Wouldn't recommend for fine dining.

The food was overpriced and underwhelming. I think someone in the kitchen needs a Gordon Ramsey reality check.

The food is not on a par with the rest that the hotel has to offer. Last night's pasta dish was almost inedible and tonight's room service slider and chips had clearly been re-heated.
