Very enjoyable spot scenic and restful good parking available off the road restroom facilities nearby fishing was disappointing but worth another try. Interesting foreshore rock areas sandy beach well worth a visit. Lots of shade under trees o a hot day

A beautiful & relaxing spot along the Pohutukawa coast. A great place for a family picnic and a safe swimming or fishing area. Best time to visit is during summer when the Pohutukawa trees are in full blossom. It does get pretty busy especially over summer. There is plenty of parking onsite and restrooms located opposite the pier. The drive along the Pohutukawa coast is really beautiful & one of New Zealand most stunning drives. .....well worth the visit.
