I witnessed the very best of care and attention given by each and every one of the staff members at the North Shore hospital this week. Professional with a personal touch, treating patients as people and not numbers. Respectful of their patients, non judgmental in often very challenging situations. Specialists, doctors, nurses, orderlies, cleaners, food and beverage servers and all of your team who worked there over the last couple of days "A VERY BIG THANK YOU".

As a patient at the hospital I received wonderful care. As a (transport) contractor to wdhb I find them a very good customer

I was on Ward 4 for 8 days and the care is absolutely outstanding. All the staff are kind and compassionate. The Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare assistants, tea ladies, cleaners, receptionist just everyone. Thanks so much.

Just recently I was admitted to North shore hospital and yes it was a wait but as expected for a hospital. The staff were flat out but they still showed care for their patients even though felt like most of the people in the emergency waiting room could have gone to their local GP... but of course to expensive.... In the time I was in the emergency department and getting a glimpse of “ nurse” life, you really got to give it to them, they deal with ALL.

Reliable and compassionate care. Busy hospital so medical staff pressed for time, but respond adequately when asked. Buildings a bit aged, but kept clean. Good eating and drinking in the cafe and coffee stop. Use the staircases, if you can.

They love keeping you in pain despite the chances of addiction or side effects in a clinical setting being close to zero. Bonus points for stopping me dying twice though.

Really appreciated the speed, communication and care from everyone- from the first nurse in ED who took one look at me whisked me in- I’m sorry, l didn’t catch your name, but I am much obliged. So thank you Sam, Jemima and especially Robyn “the vampire” who looked after me so kindly. My thanks too to the X-ray ladies. So thanks to the ED team at North Shore Hospital, and thanks too to ACC! I lived in a few other countries and sometimes we in NZ can lose perspective on the services we can so easily take for granted. ‘Tis human nature, but sad nonetheless.

6 hours wait time in emergency department!!! People dont come to emergency to spend their time. Staff should be more responsible and should not give pathetic excuses as the doctors taking rounds. Should have permanent doctors to see severe need patients. Staff is very friendly and keeps themselves very busy but god knows what they actually do.
