Excellent service. Tony and Dianne were quick to respond, thorough and well priced for a home inspection and report. I have no connection with Tony or Dianne apart from their inspection. I highly recommend them as competent and trustworthy.

Tony did a building report on a house we were selling. The house is in typical condition for its age and this is not disputed. Tony speculated and invented issues that created a very long and daunting list for the prospective buyer. Tony's report highlighted 18 issues where another building report carried out a week later by a more experienced builder found only 3. Some of his 'findings' were - 1. "The fence panel is cracked and may contain asbestos" - the fence is made out of plywood hence the wood grain. Plywood does not contain asbestos. 2. "The shed is cluttered" - The shed has our tenants belongings in it that will be removed upon sale. 3. "There is rubbish under the house that may contain asbestos" - there are 6 or so food tins stored under the house by our tenant. Food tins do not contain asbestos. 4. "The fence has green waste next to it and may cause rot" - this is a wooden box next to the fence which is a designated area for grass clippings. 5. "The vent in the heat pump is bent preventing it from closing" - the vent is new and in perfect working order. 6. "The concrete has a crack which may be a tripping hazard" - this was a superficial flat fissure that naturally occurs with age The list goes on but you get the gist.

Found Tony very easy to deal with. Informative & offered to deal with LIM report as well. So complete service. This was cheaper & easier then doing this myself. Only thing was it would of been good if he had informed me the plans on file with council didn't match my house layout. Very detailed builders report. Better then the person I used previously. Would definitely use him again & recommend him.

Very accommodating to book in and the result was a super quick report back to me. The content was extremely easy to read and made perfect sense, complete with pictures. Second time I have used this company, we wouldn't bother using anyone else!

Terrific work yet again from Tony at NZ House Surveys. This is not the first time we've used him, and this time he inspected a rental property and gave us helpful information about the insulation, contaminant and extraction status of the house. We'll definitely use them again.
