Awful!!! the male receptionist had the audacity to raise his voice at my girlfriend after she was expressing her concerns to him after the room was left unlocked twice after the rooms were serviced very unacceptable and appalling behaviour. Would not recommend saying at this place i suggest you guys learn how to effectively communicate with guests.. Appalling

Good Location. Unfortunately our room had no nice view, and fitness and sauna were not available due to renovation.

Do like this resort, the location is excellent, would be 5 star if prices little less 344 for 2 adults and a 7yo in a 1 bed with pull out bed in living room with ocean view in a apartment that is getting bit dated a stretch I think..a lot for a kiwi to pay on our wages should be 250 to 275per night in my opinion, there was thick dust on top of light fittings in bathroom and vent in the ceiling of the main bathroom full dust looked like had not been cleaned for years the bulk of the rest of apartment was clean enough if wanting top re vamp necessary I would say and the pull out bed past it's best needs replacing service excellent lady on front desk when we arrived a pleasure to deal with, she added a star to my review :)

I stayed here with my mother for 3 nights. The room we booked was advertised as a "Deluxe Studio" with double bed and sofa bed. Upon leaving, the staff direct debited my card an additional cost. When I quieried it, they accused me of waking them up at 12.30am in the morning and said I had behaved rudely. My mother and I were appalled as we were asleep at that time. I told them this and they admitted they'd mixed up us with another room but refused to refund the charge because of our "use of the sofa bed" which was a clear advertisement of the room, and more expensive than rooms with just a double bed. This "info" was not displayed in the room, nor was I alerted to this fact either upon checking in or out, nor was it in the terms I signed, OR in the terms on the site where I booked the room. This is a clear breach of section 9 of the Fair Trading Act. Additionally, the staff and owners are rude, the hotel smells bad (body odour throughout it) and it is rapidly deteriorating. We have stayed several times before and these newer owners have really let the place down. Will NEVER EVER visit again, and I will tell everyone of my friends and family to avoid it like the plague too. Dishonest and frankly illegal practices. Support another great Kiwi business who want to value and respect their customers and not insult them or their intelligence.

A fantastic location right next to the Mount. The hotel is a little tired although the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms large. Bathroom was a little basic but clean and functional. The pool was not large and was packed with kids when we went to use it (we went to the beach instead). For a short stay this is a great value option.

Friendly staff, clean, and the location is good, but a couple of wee repairs in our room would be good. No poolside seats or loungers which was disappointing, just as well there is a beautiful beach 1 minute walk away! Room service replaced our (very small bath towels) twice in four days but didn’t “tidy” the bed like it says in the room service notice and pretty much did nothing at all our whole stay. After were woken the second morning by jumping and banging above our room I informed reception and was told they are residents and they can’t do anything about it but ask them again to keep it down. Wouldn’t stay again pretty disappointing.

Very very disappointed. We paid 5 star prices for a 2 star stay. The staff on the desk are rude and unhelpful and lied to our faces about our complaints. Extra charges, faulty electrical systems in the room, facilities out of order, and a stinky space with dirty sheets. They are profiting off of location only and will definitely not last if they keep up this level of service.

We stayed for 5 days in apartment 5C in Twin Tower 1. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We were advised by email a week prior to coming that there was construction happening with the building and scaffolding was around the balcony. Not happy, but didn't want to make a fuss because businesses are struggling with Covid right? So OK fine. But didn't expect the balcony to be a mess on arrival. The scaffolding had poles sticking inwards by the outdoor table, a hazard especially for our 3 yo toddler. No other compensation or alternatives were offered. A neighbouring apartment resident advised the construction has been happening for well over a month - so we feel duped. Not to mention the random workers walking around/working on the scaffolding while we were chilling in the lounge or balcony, and the noise construction brings during the day. The apartment itself didn't feel clean. Random hairs in the bathroom, old splatter stains near the dishwasher, film of dust on the furniture. Decor is really outdated. We were excited about the use of the pool and gym - only to discover the pool is no more due to the construction and the gym hasn't been operational for over a year! None of this is advertised on their website, and directions to check-in even list directions to their use. When enquiring about the pool status, we were given directions to the local pools that were undergoing renovations. The underground car park is a joke. Space is very TIGHT. Construction meant that the Exit was blocked so you had to go out the way you came in - but there was no signage to let people know this, so a lot of confusion. Finding the correct car park for your room is a mission in itself when the signage with the room numbers is small/hard to read. The only redeeming factor to this place is the location - it's right across from the beach and smack bang in the middle of some great restaurants/cafes. Never coming back and never recommending it to anyone.
