Great long wharf. A bit shallow but I caught some edible fish so happy. Nice beach for surfing or swimming too.

Awesome reserve on Ohope Beach. This area is one of the largest in the area stretching from the road to the beach. Pohutukawa trees abound so there's plenty of shade and there is a large open area for casual sports games and a big playground with the usual equipment as well as a wooden ship and flying fox. There's also some outdoor exercise machines as well as barbecues (coin operated), a water fountain, public toilets and ample parking.

A lovely convenient spot to freedom camp. The area is small, but all participants moved to allow the maximum number of self contained vehicles space. There was a wonderful market over the road. A safe swimming beach. Lovely flat areas for novice cyclists with cycle lanes marked. Bush walks were picturesque with a wide variety for different abilities. Sadly the toilets were disgusting when we arrived before a long weekend. They were cleaned on the Saturday, but barely passed the mark as two toilet rolls ended up on the floor

Dump station, cold shower at beach, picnic tables and bbq (1). Great place.

Beautiful day of sun and surf. Though, when the wind picks up, ya really feel it, sand in the eyes.
