The food quality here is spectacular - the pork has been marinated for hours and has a lot of flavour without being too fatty or salty, and even the rice isn't the usual hard and bland long grain rice, it is similar to Chinese sticky rice, being fluffy and having a soft consistency. The octopus balls especially are really yummy. Customer service is amazing, all customers are treated with a smile and it is obvious that this family run restaurant takes pride in preparing the dishes very well, it's not just about making a profit. The prices are higher than average for the portion sizes, but well worth it.

BEAUTIFUL ramen, the best I've had since going to Japan 4 years ago. Cosy seating area, quick service and friendly staff make for an excellent dining experience. I only wish they had smaller portions for lunch so I could come here more often!

We ordered the miso ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and takoyaki. All dishes were so delicious! Full of flavour and very generous portion sizes too. And to top it off, the service was friendly and welcoming. I'm assuming this is a family-run restaurant - it had such a warm and inviting feel, and everyone we met was so gracious Definitely worth the half hour trip from the city. ごちそうさまでした !

Delicious takoyaki with generous amount of octopus inside and authentic sauces. Ramen is on another planet - but doesn't cost an arm and a leg. 10/10 recommend to anybody this place is a hit! They only serve pork ramen - check the menu to see non ramen options

Kinda feels like you’re having dinner at someone’s house. In a good way. Friendly wait staff, quick kitchen. Small menu with a few good choices make it easy to know what you’re ordering when they ask. The only dessert on the menu was great. You can’t go wrong. Well recommended.

Such a nice Japanese ramen restaurant in Orewa! I strongly recommend the Tonkotus ramen and Karaage chicken.. Superb service, delicious food and I believe I will come again!
